You Can Never Hope Too Much

This is a Mayzie Media production.

This episode of the Quit Playing Small podcast is brought to you by IQuitPlayingSmall.com where you can get your free copy of the quit playing small journal, as well as get your hands on a copy of the Quit Playing Small book, filled with daily inspiration that you didn't know you needed.

Hello? Hello? Hello. I'm your host, Ahyiana Angel and you are listening to the Quit Playing Small podcast. Your space for inspiration, encouragement, and straight-up goodness. Oh, I'm so happy to be with you today. Let's dive right in. Did you know that you're in the midst of happiness? To be clear, you may or may not feel like you are in the midst of happiness, but I wanted to share with you guys that we are in the middle of Happiness Happens month, who even knew that that was a thing? I didn't.

I just, I was like yesterday years old when I found this out, I had no idea that Happiness Happens month was a thing, but apparently, it has been around for years. Okay. And Happiness Happens month is celebrated annually in August. It's dedicated to celebrating things that make you happy. For me, it's so funny because I feel like I've been doing this all summer long.

I have really been on a mission of trying to do the things that make me happy regularly, whether it be adventures, new experiences, um, connecting with people that I care about and appreciate. Creating just opportunities for me to feel joy and happiness in the day-to-day life that I'm living. So I love this Happiness Happens month.

What they were saying when I was reading up about it online is that it's a known fact that happiness is contagious and sharing your happiness can bring a smile to someone else's face. So I feel like if we don't accomplish anything else today, let's make it our mission to make someone else smile. I feel like that's a good goal for the day.

If you don't have any other goals for today, that is a good one to add to your to-do list. So a whole month of celebrating what makes you happy. To me, that is dope. I love it. I love it. I love it. So if it's okay with you, I am going to be sharing these little-known days with you that I feel like are appropriate for what we are doing, our mission, our goals, and where we're trying to go in this thing called life.

I think some of these days, many of us don't know about, but they will be beneficial to add to our calendar and to participate in. And so today, speaking of, august 18th, that's today's date, it also happens to be never give up day. I think that's actually a perfect segue into our Quit Playing Small entry for today, which is. You can never hope too much. You can never hope too much. Desiring an amazing life is rational, but living your life without acknowledging your desires, that's unreasonable. You can never dream too much. Dreams create a desire in your heart. Without a desire for something more greater or bigger, our lives wouldn't be as rich. Be a dreamer, but a doer as well.

You may not always fulfill all of your dreams on the first try, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try at all. The only regret that you will know is the regret of letting a dream go. Don't stop dreaming.

Thank you for spending time with me and if you want more, goodness, be sure to head over to IQuitPlayingSmall.com and download your free Quit Playing Small journal today.
