Hello, most awesome one. I'm Ahyiana Angel, and you are listening to the Quit Playing Small podcast. Your space for inspired thinking, encouragement, and you know it goodness. Today we are talking about being bold. Let's dive into some boldness. There are plenty of surface ways that one can be bold with maybe your hairstyle, with your clothing, your appearance, your speech, and maybe even some of your actions.
But what I love for us to first work on is developing an internal boldness. A boldness that's brewing inside of us, a boldness that you can't deny any longer because you feel it in your bones, in your body. You know that you need to bring on that boldness. It's something that's required to push you to your next level of greatness to bigger and larger heights.
Now, I know it may feel like this sounds easy for you to say, Ahyiana, but what is boldness really when we think about it? Boldness is showing an ability to take risks. When's the last time you took a risk? Probably not that long ago. You take a risk every time you walk outside your house, a risk that hey, things might not turn out the way that you expect.
That's a mini risk, a daily risk that we take, but yet it is still a risk. So being bold is that ability to take those risks. It's the ability to be confident and courageous. That's why I said I want you to feel it on the inside because it is an internal thing. It's also a conscious decision that you make to say, I'm going to be bold, versus I'm going to be meek and I'm going to back away from things.
I'm going to step up. I'm going to show up. I'm going to put myself in the forefront instead of backing away and shying away. So boldness is really a decision that we make, and if just the thought of taking a risk makes you start shaking in your boots, it's time. To me that just says it's time. You've been avoiding it long enough.
And I can share this with you because I've had to tell myself the same thing, even when I was fearful of what that would mean for me. And sometimes when you're making the decision to be bold, to be courageous, you don't even know what that is going to look like on the other side of it. But something in you is just saying, I have to go there.
I have to go there. Being bold is also something that requires us to tap into an inner strength that helps you to do what once felt impossible, when we all have that strength inside of us. Believe it or not, you have that strength inside of you too. If you have a dream to fulfill and you wanna be great, it's time to change up your actions.
Give yourself a direct challenge and get bold. If you're not sure how to be bold. Maybe start with something, something small for you. Maybe something like asking for or speaking up in a situation where you know you would normally shy away or you wouldn't ask for what you actually desire out of that situation.
Start there. See how it feels. Really interrogate those feelings so that you can realize that it's not that bad once I do it, and then you can start channeling that energy toward your next challenge for yourself. You don't have to change the character of who you are to be bold. You just need to recognize where you can lean in, where you can try harder, where you can do more, where you can step it up a notch with your actions and have that boldness behind you.
Trust yourself and know that this is for your greater good and you will not regret it. Thank you so much for spending time with me today. As always, I hope you feel energized. I hope you feel ready to tap into your inner boldness, to take some risks to show yourself what's possible. And I hope you enjoy the rest of your day, your week, and I'm sending you big love and hugs and as always, be well.
