Begin Where You Are

This is a Mayzie Media production.
Hello? Hello, beautiful, amazing, and most talented one. Welcome to another episode of the Quit Playing Small podcast. I am your host Ahyiana Angel and today we're gonna talk about getting where you wanna be. Before you get, where you wanna be you must begin where you are. Start within believing that you can refuse to engage in negative self-talk, only participate in uplifting thoughts that align with a can-do attitude.
Daily affirmations are a great way to reinforce positive thoughts. When looking to elevate to your next level, it's helpful to have something to routinely lean on for that reassurance. I personally use them every single day. There was a time in my life where I would've never considered using daily affirmations.
Not because I didn't think that they would work, but because I just didn't understand their power or their purpose. When I started my journey of making a Switch, Pivot or Quit, I knew I would have to develop a stronger belief in myself. And as a result, I adopted a routine of reciting daily affirmations to assist me with reminding myself that I was doing something amazing, reminding myself of where I was going and why I was qualified to go there.
It can feel a little bit like wishing on a star when you first start using affirmations and some may even think it's not useful at all. But my personal experience tells me otherwise just as with most things, it won't work overnight. In addition, if your attitude towards the process is negative, you'll take longer to see those results from your practice.
There are plenty of suggestions and guidelines out there for creating effective affirmations. Just Google. Do a quick Google search. To begin. I say, keep 'em simple affirmations should have just enough depth to speak to your ambitions, but they should also be simple enough for you to remember them. My personal suggestion is to create affirmations with your life goals in mind, develop a series of statements that detail things you declare to be true for your life. Be specific when developing your affirmations that speak to believing in yourself and what you can accomplish.
